Update!

Hopefully this will be the first full 5 day week of intelligence increasing activity I'll be able to book. 5 of 7 days is the suggested schedule for almost every activity so I am trying to stick to that as close as possible.  Travel has allowed me only to manage 4 days of activity the last couple of weeks but hopefully my progress has not been affected too badly. I wanted to get some numbers down now that will have some meaning and context for me going forward and allow me to track my progress.

The pseudo telekinesis isn't really quantifiable except by time committed. I've settled for 15 minutes per session for the first month, then adding 5 minutes per daily session each month that passes going forward. So 20 minutes per session next month.  The challenge for this activity is stopping your mind from wondering and staying on the task of concentrating on the coin and not allowing your mind to follow stream of consciousness. You've got to stay 'in the zone,' in order to stay focused and sharpen your concentration and reap rewards. I started this week today with about 9-10 minutes of focus on the coin before I even checked the clock. Not bad, I guess? Last week I was getting a little sidetracked at 5-7 minutes so I'll chalk that up on the progress side.

On the DVH activity, I previously began at the beginner diagram. I'm now beginning at the intermediate level and will attempt to quantify results by recording my addition sums for the 3 minute intervals. Trying to recall, (hehe) I think tonight I came in around 607 on every other number on the intermediate diagram. Around 565 for every third number on the intermediate. On the advanced level, adding just every other number, I am right at 540-550 for a three minute session.   Now that I know how I'll be moving through this exercise and the timing, I'll be sure to get to adding every third number on the advanced level. But, I've got two bars set there for now. So I will be attempting to build on those totals which means I'll moving faster through the numbers/symbols/colors and improving concentration and math abilities.

With the n-back game it actually took me a day or two to figure the damn thing out, but I've broken through to the 4-back level and usually max out there quickly. For the majority of each session I am at 2-3. So, plenty of room to improve there. Hopefully by next month I'll be more consistently on 3-4.

Happy brain flexing!
